We produce about 100 billion garments each year. Even as more consumers turn to donation and resale to pass on their pre-loved fashion items, over 80% of donated clothes don't find buyers and end up in landfills.

Globally, over 90 million tons of textile waste are being produced each year, making up of over 7% of total landfill waste. The United States is one of the largest textile waste producer in the world, producing over 11 million tons every year, that is, over 2,000 pieces of garments going to trash every second!

The fashion industry currently contributes to 3% of global CO2 emissions, and this figure is projected to double by 2030. This potential increase poses a heightened risk of extreme weather events, placing global economy and the overall habitat in a vulnerable state.

Therefore, circular fashion must be the future. However, the existing secondhand market is not optimal. Cumbersome and time-consuming process, significant loss in value, poor quality and credibility are some of the many reasons we hesitate to sell and buy secondhand.
